Omar Abdullah Denies Allegations of New Liquor Vend Allotments
Srinagar: Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has strongly refuted claims regarding the advertisement or allotment of new liquor vends under his government. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Abdullah dismissed these allegations as baseless and called on media outlets to cease spreading misinformation.
In a statement posted on his official handle, he wrote, “No new liquor vends are being advertised or allotted by my government. TV channels and news portals should immediately stop peddling this lie.”
This clarification comes in response to reports and rumors circulating on social media and various news platforms suggesting that Abdullah’s administration was involved in expanding liquor sales .
