ACB Traps Girdawar and Tout in Srinagar; Searches Conducted at Multiple Locations
Srinagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) achieved a significant breakthrough on Thursday by trapping a Girdawar, Ayaz Ahmad Hurra, along with his Nambardaar tout, Rafiq Sheikh, in the Habbakadal area of Srinagar. Both individuals were caught red-handed while allegedly engaging in corrupt practices.
According to official sources, the duo had reportedly been involved in unethical dealings, prompting an immediate response from the ACB. Acting on credible information, the bureau laid a trap and apprehended the accused. The case has raised concerns about corruption in land-related dealings, a prevalent issue in the region.
Following the arrests, the ACB conducted intensive searches at three locations across Bandipora and Srinagar districts. These searches aim to unearth further evidence linked to the case and identify other possible accomplices.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau has reiterated its commitment to eradicating corruption and holding public officials accountable. Officials have urged citizens to come forward and report any suspicious activities or demands for bribes, ensuring transparency and accountability in administrative functions.
Further details about the case and findings from the searches are awaited.
