IGP Holds Security Review Meeting In Srinagar Ahead Of 15 August
Srinagar: IGP (Inspector General of Police) Kashmir, SP Pani today held a security review meeting in Jammu & Kashmir’s Summer Capital, Srinagar ahead of 15 August.
The meeting was attended by all the territorial officers of the District Srinagar.
IGP took a detailed review of the security arrangement laid out around the venue of the Independence day function in Srinagar city. He was also briefed about the security measures adopted in other areas of the city for ensuring the smooth conduct of the 15 August functions.
“IGP directed the officers to ensure that foolproof security measures are in place while stressing on the human friendly approach towards policing in dealing with the public on roads,” said a spokesman. Adding SP Pani has requested the public for cooperation to ensure smooth passage of the function being held on August 15. (GK)
