Governor Said Hurriyat Is Ready To Engage In Dialogue, Calls It “Encouraging Sign”
Srinagar: The governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik, said on Saturday that it was heartening to see the leaders of Hurriyat “ready for talks”.
“The Hurriyat leaders who once shut the door on Ram Vilas Paswan when he invited them to dialogue are now ready for talks, which is an encouraging sign,” the governor told in a function at SKICC.
He also hailed Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq for speaking out about the threat of drugs.
Malik said that Hurriyat’s proactive role in solving social problems should be welcomed.
