Three militant associates arrested in Kulgam: Police
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested three associates of militant outfit LeT/TRF in Kulgam district of South Kashmir and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
“During the investigation of case FIR Number 02/2025 under section 13, 18 and 39 of UAPA of Police Station Qaimoh, Jammu and Kashmir Police along with joint team of security forces including 1RR, 1Para Security Forces and CRPF 18BN apprehended three militant associates linked with proscribed militant outfit LeT/TRF identified as Ubaid Khursheed Mir, son of Khursheed Ahmad Mir, Maqsood Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohd Ramzan Bhat and Umer Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmad Dar, all residents of Thokerpora Qaimoh, Kulgam,” police said in a statement.
“Arms and ammunition including 02 AK series rifles, 08 AK series magazines, 217 AK rounds, 05 hand grenades and 02 magazine pouches were recovered by the joint team of forces from their possession,” the statement said.
“The arrested militant associates were in close contact with active militants of proscribed militant outfit LeT/TRF and were planning to carry out major militant activities in Kulgam District,” the statement added. — (KIMS)
