Weapon smuggling bid foiled; arms, ammo recovered: Kupwara Police
KUPWARA: The government forces on Saturday claimed to have foiled a weapon smuggling bid in Kupwara district in Northern Kashmir.
Police in a statement said, “Army and Kupwara Police thwarted an attempt from militants to smuggle weapons from Forward Post in Jabdi Tangdhar Sector of Kupwara.”
“During search operation arms and ammunition including 3 AK-47 rifle, 6 magazines and 4 pistols were recovered,” the statement added.
