The 61 BN CRPF organized a grand function on the occasion of its 47th Raising Day of the unit

This programme was graced by the senior officers of DIG South range CRPF, Srinagar. The celebrations began with grand “Cultural Night and Bara Khana” for force personnel and their families. 

Sh. Ravi Kumar, Comdt 54 BN and Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Comdt 79 Bn have in turn addressed the gathering, distributed trophies and rewarded to the force personnel of the cultural team, LMC (Low Medical Category) personnel who have done well and contributed to the well-being of the unit, praised the CRPF’s dedication, commitment to serving the nation and also commended the efforts of the unit in maintaining law and order and other CI duties in Srinagar. In order to boost the morale of the Coys and to ensue a sense of healthy competition among them, the coys which have done excellent in the field of administration, operation/training and e-office management have been given trophy of Best Adm, Best Ops/Trg Coy and Best in E-Office management by Sh. Sudhanshu Shekhar Commandant 61 BN CRPF. He has expressed his gratitude to all the Guests and highlighted the battalion’s achievements and contribution to the region.

The 47th Raising Day celebration was a momentous occasion for the 61 BN CRPF. This event reinforced the battalion’s commitment to “protecting the country and serving the community.” On the occasion, Dental Medical camp in support with Govt Dental College Srinagar was also organized in which Dr. Aasim Farooq Shah (Head of Department), Dr. Asif Yousuf (Assistant Professor AA) and Dr. Mohammad Hanief Mir (Dental Surgeon) and their team have done dental check-up of 150 personnel of the unit and have shown solidarity with the cause of the Force.
