Sumo Drivers At Pattan Ignore Official Fare Chart, Overcharge Passengers
The sumo drivers plying on Chukar pattan route started ignoring the fare chart issued to them by the Transport Department and are charging Rs.15 from Pattan to check sari and newran and Rs. 20 to Chukar.
On questioning they justified by showing few pieces of paper as new rate list.
As went through the newly published rate list there is a hike of 8.10 percent to the existing fare ,which means an increase of Rs 1.20 to the existing fare of Rs 10 and 15.
According to the new hike in fare passengers should pay only Rs 11 to Check Sari, newran and 16 to chukar.
People of said villages requests the Concerned RTO to look into the matter and take action against these sumo drivers.
