Shopian: At least twenty persons were injured during clashes between government forces and youths at Pinjoora village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday afternoon.
Two girls were the among twenty persons who were injured after clashes broke out between government forces and youths during (CASO) cordon and search operation at Pinjoora village in Shopian district.
Reports said, soon after (CASO) cordon and search operation was launched in the village youths took to streets and pelted stones on government forces after which government forces used aerial firing, pellet firing and teargas shelling to disperse them which resulted in injuries to twenty persons.
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Shopian for treatment.
However, search operation was going on in the village when this report was filed.
