Seven arrested during nocturnal raids in Shopian

Shopian: At least seven youth have been arrested during a nocturnal raid in Arhama area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Locals said that during night government forces raided many residential houses in the area and took away at least 7 seven youth with them.

Locals identified the arrested youth as Ishaq Ittoo S/o Ahsan, Ittoo, Mehrajuddin Mir S/o Qadir Mir, Arshid Lone S/o Jabbar Lone, Shabir Kulley S/o Rashid Kulley, Gh. Nabi Mir S/o Qadir Mir, Irfan Ittoo S/o Ab. Rashid and Fayaz Ahmad Mir S/o Ahsan Mir.

A police official while confirming the arrest of seven persons said that they have been arrested for questioning. (KNO)
