“`Baramulla Police has taken serious note of a fake and mischievous message (see enclosed pic) being circulated on social media, intended to spread panic among the public.

We categorically clarify that the content being circulated is mischievous, false, fabricated, and completely baseless.

The Act of spreading misinformation is a criminal offence under the law. Anyone found involved in the creation, circulation, or promotion of such fake and mischievous messages will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.

We urge citizens to stay calm, refrain from forwarding unverified information, and to rely only on official communications for any updates.

Baramulla Police is committed to safeguarding public order and will take all necessary measures to prevent the spread of misinformation.
