Minor Girl Dies After Slipping Into Canal In Budgam Village
BUDGAM: A minor girl died after she slipped into a canal in Churpora Soibugh area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday.
A police official told that a minor girl identified as Rabiya daughter of Farooq Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Gariend Khurd of the district was stayed at maternal uncle’s home at Churpora Soibugh. She was playing with some toys and probably fell down in a water canal, he said.
He said while searching her, relatives of the family found her in a canal and immediately referred her to PHC Soibugh where doctors declared her brought dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and have started the investigation. (KDC)
