Mine Blast in Krishna Ghati Sector Followed by Ceasefire Violation by Pakistan Army: India Army

Srinagar, Apr 2  : A mine blast occurred in the Krishna Ghati Sector along the Line of Control (LoC) on April 1, allegedly due to an intrusion by the Pakistan Army. Following the explosion, Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing, violating the ceasefire agreement.

According to the Indian Army, its troops responded in a “controlled and calibrated manner” to the aggression. The situation remains under control and is being closely monitored by security forces.

The Indian Army reiterated the significance of maintaining the ceasefire understanding reached between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGsMO) of India and Pakistan in 2021. The agreement was aimed at ensuring peace along the LoC, but repeated violations have raised concerns over stability in the J&K (KNS)
