Militants Attack Army Camp In Shopian Village

Shopian: Militants attacked Army’s 44RR camp in Ahgam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday evening.

Reports reaching GNS said that suspected militants fired indiscriminately towards the camp of 44RR camp in Ahgam. The fire was retaliated by army triggering a brief exchange of firing.

However in this incident there was no immediate report of loss of life or injury has been reported.

SSP Shopian Sandeep Chaudhary told GNS that it was a stray firing by militants from a distance on 44RR camp. The alert sentry retaliated.

The officer further said there was no loss of life or injury reported in this incident. (GNS)
