MeT Predicts More Snow and Rain Expected in J&K Until Late Evening Today
Srinagar, Feb 04 : The Meteorological Department on Sunday forecasted more snow, rain till today late evening in Jammu and Kashmir.
An official from MeT that in past 24 hours, light snowfall (3-6) inches in plains and 8-12 inches in middle and higher reaches of Kashmir division occurred.
The official said light to moderate rain with thunder over plains of Jammu division and light to moderate snow over middle and higher reaches occured.
He said today, weather will remain generally cloudy at few places with light to moderate snow likely to continue over many places till today afternoon/late evening and gradual improvement thereafter.
On 5th February, he said weather will remain partly to generally cloudy with possibility of light snow over isolated higher reaches.
From 6th-13th February, weather will remain generally dry.
In view of significant snow accumlation and continous snow during last few days, he advised travellers to plan accordingly & follow administration/traffic Police advisory.
