Major Breakthrough: Anantnag Police Cracks Multiple Theft Cases
In a significant breakthrough, Anantnag Police have successfully solved several theft cases, leading to the arrest of five individuals from the Kokernag area. A special team, formed in collaboration with ESU Anantnag, developed a technical lead that ultimately resulted in the apprehension of the accused.
The arrested individuals are:
1. Mohd Imran Hajam, S/O Mohd Shaban, R/O Wan Devalgam
2. Nasir Ahmad Dar, S/O Showkat Dar, R/O Tangpawa Kokernag
3. Adil Hussain Dar, S/O Ali Mohd Dar, R/O Nagam
4. Shabir Ahmad Wagay, S/O Gh Hassan, R/O Nagam Kokernag
5. Arshid Hussain Rather, S/O Mohd Akbar, R/O Sultanpora Pattan
The stolen property recovered includes:
– 05 Gold coins
– 05 Gold rings
– 04 Pairs of earrings
– 01 Pendant set
– 01 Gold chain
– 01 Gold necklace with pendant
– 03 Mobile phones
– ₹36,000 in cash
Additionally, two vehicles used in the commission of these crimes have been seized. The recoveries were made in connection with FIR No. 83/2024 and FIR No. 05/2024 of PS Kokernag.
