J&K Police Arrest Couple In Qazigund For Peddling Drugs

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Qazigund arrested a couple for peddling drugs during a naka checking at Mirbazar area and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

“During naka checking at Akhran Bridge Mirbazar, Qazigund police arrested a couple identified as Sabzar Ahmad Rather @Raja son of Abdul Salam Rather resident of Mallipora Devsar and his wife (name withheld) for peddling drugs,” a police spokesperson said. Police has recovered 10 kilograms of poppy straw from their possession.

The Police has registered a case under FIR NO 02/2019 under relevant section of law and initiated investigations in the matter.
