GDA sealed Hotel Hilltop in Gulmarg for violating court orders
Baramulla: Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA) on Saturday sealed Hotel Hilltop in Gulmarg tourist destination for violating the court order.
The hotel was sealed on the direction of the Chief Executive Officer of Gulmarg Development Authority, Law Officer Gulmarg Development Authority Aijaz Ahmad Monga along with Magistrate and other officers.
The Gulmarg Development Authority had also registered an FIR no. 07 2020 U/S 188 IPC on 07-08-2020 against the hotel at the Gulmarg police station for violating the law and against the violators would be taken, GDA officials said.
Law Officer Gulmarg Development Authority talking to Kashmir Images said, “Several times, the hotel owner was directed to stop the illegal construction, however under the grab of Covid-19 lockdown and ban on movement of public and blanket ban on construction, the hotel management continued to undertake constructions and violated the Humble court orders.” Adding “Several notices were issued to the hotel owner and fresh sow case notice was issued by Chief executive officer GDA bearing no. GDA/2020/F-902/334-42 dated 10-07-2020 and the hotel owner replied to the show cause notice vide your no: HTT/2013 dated 13-07-2020.”
The order issued reads, “Whereas the perusal of the committee report and your reply it came to fore that the reply submitted by your is not satisfactory and you were directed to desist from such activities.” adding “Whereas yours continuous breach and adamant approach prompted to this office to lodge an FIR against Hotel Hilltop in police station Gulmarg bearing FIR NO. 07/2020 U/S 188IPC on 07-08-2020. After that Court Commissioner also, visited the said hotel on 12-08-2020 and has taken a strong note that the said hotelier is not adhering the rules/conditions already in vogue.”
The Law Officer further said that in Gulmarg stern action will be taken against violators as our flying squads are also keeping vigil and any detection of violation is strictly death as per law.
