G. A. Mir Appointed As General Secretary, AICC
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Ghulam Ahmad Mir has been appointed as the General Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Incharge of Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Mir thanked party’s top leadership including Chairman Smt. Sonia Gandhi and President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge for appointing him as General Secretary of All India Congress Committee.
Mir in a post on X said, “I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our CPP Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Ji and Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji for reposing faith in me and appointing me as General Secretary of AICC.”
“I am humbled and greatful to be the part of Party and look forward to the opportunity to serve the party better,” the post said.
Ghulam Ahmad Mir, a resident of Verinag area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir served as a president of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) before being appointed as General Secretary, All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Incharge Jharkhand and West Bengal.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice-President Surinder Singh Channi has congratulated G. A. Mir for being appointed as General Secretary, All India Congress Committee (AICC) and Incharge Jharkhand and West Bengal.
Channi in a post on X said, “Congratulations Shri G. A. Mir Ji on being Appointed as AICC General Secretary and Incharge Jharkhand, West Bengal.”
