Earthquake of 5.8 Magnitude Strikes Afghanistan, Tremors Felt in J&K
Srinagar, Sep 4 (JKNS): An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck Afghanistan late Thursday evening, with tremors felt across parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per details available with news agency JKNS, the quake occurred at 22:26:29 IST with its epicenter located at latitude 34.58 N and longitude 70.66 E in Afghanistan, at a depth of 160 km.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties in Jammu and Kashmir. People in several districts, however, reported feeling tremors. (JKNS)
