Councilor, SPO killed in Sopore Militants attack

Srinagar, Mar 29: A police cop and a councilor were killed after militants attacked the meeting of Municipal councilors in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday afternoon.

Sources told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that militants attacked the councilors of Municipal Committee in Sopore after firing at them indiscriminately near the meeting hall of Lone Building located in Sopore.

Sources said that in the incident, a PSO of one of the councilors identified as Shafaqat Ahmad and Councilor Riyaz Ahmad were killed in the attack.

Sources said that one more injured person was rushed to nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Forces have sealed the whole area and a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers. (KDC)
