Anantnag, Kulgam District’s Shut On 2nd Consecutive Day Against Militant Killings
Anantnag/Kulgam: A complete shutdown is being observed in Anantnag and Kulgam district’s of South Kashmir today on second consecutive day against the killing of two militants.
Two militants identified as Top Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Commander Altaf Ahmad Dar alias Altaf Kachroo along with his associate Umer Rashid were killed in an encounter with government forces at Muniward area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Both the slain militants were buried at their ancestral graveyards at their native villages, Hawoora and Khudwani in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Even today, people use to visit slain militants homes to offer condolences with the families. Earlier, thousands of people from different areas of Kashmir valley participated in the funeral procession of slain militants on Wednesday.
All shops, school’s, business establishments etc were closed in these twin district’s (Anantnag and Kulgam) of South Kashmir and traffic movement was also not seen on roads.
