Gurez Operation: Army Rushes Para Commondos To The Encounter Site

Bandipora: Amid killing of four army soldiers in a fierce gunfight along the LoC in Gurez sector of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district today wee hours, army has rushed Para commondos to the site and joined the operation.

Official sources told GNS that army’s Para Troops were rushed in Bakthoor area of Gurez today morning and joined the operation.

Earlier, four army soldiers including an officer of major rank and two militants were killed in an encounter.

The encounter according to an army officer broke out after soldiers of 36 RR challenged the movement of a group of infiltrators at Bakthoor sector in Gurez along the LoC.

The officer had said that the bodies of the two militants are yet to be retreived.

The official meanwhile said that the operation in the area is underway to track down the hiding infiltrators in the area.(GNS)
