Congress To Hold Its Crucial Meeting In Srinagar On July 14
To reboot party functioning, Azad to confabulate with party’s top leadership
Srinagar, Jul 13: A crucial meeting of the senior leadership of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee is all set to be held on July 14 in Srinagar wherein crucial decisions vis-a-vis party’s forthcoming strategy will be discussed.
Sources privy to this development divulged to Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the meeting will be chaired by senior Congress leader and former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and will witness the participation of state Congress president G A Mir and other top of leaders the party.
Pertinent to mention that on July 11th KNS had already reported that after clean sweep by the BJP in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls across the country, feeling decimated, the Indian National Congress leadership is trying hard to remain in focus through its Jammu and Kashmir unit and all efforts to rejuvenate the party cadre in the state set to going polls later this year. In J&K, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) showed poor performance in the Lok Sabha polls as the party couldn’t win even a single seat and that its vote share in Assembly segments also went down drastically.
