68 Pilgrims Leave From Jammu For Amarnath Yatra

Jammu: A batch of 68 pilgrims left for the cave shrine from Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas here on Saturday.

“A small batch of 68 Amarnath pilgrims left for the cave shrine chanting ‘bam bam bhole’”, an official said.

He further said that the yatris left the base camp in an escorted convoy of seven vehicles comprising of six LMVs and a motorcycle.

“The batch includes pilgrims going to the Baltal and Pahalgam base camps,” he added.

He further said that the number of pilgrims has been steadily decreasing as the yatra has been going on for the last 44 days since it started on June 28. (UNI)
