21 polling parties dispatched for Phase-VII at Shopian

SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 15: For phase-VII of District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat bye-elections, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Dr Sheikh Abdul Aziz and Nodal officer Trainings, Dr Mohammad Amin under the overall supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin today dispatched 21 polling parties along with election material and Ballot Boxes to their respective polling stations here at Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian.
The polling staff along with poll material left amid tight security to DDC Constituency of Chitragam for the Phase-VII in which election is scheduled to be held on December 16, 2020 for 01 DDC constituency of Chitragam, 01 vacant seats of Sarpanch.
As many as 6 Candidates are in fray including 4 for DDC and 2 for Sarpanch seat.
Nodal Officer Covid ,Dr, Shamim distributed Covid Kits, Sanitizers, masks, gloves and other important things related to Covid-19 safety to the polling parties.
