15.28 gms of heroin recovered by PP Chatha Jammu. Two peddlers arrested.
Jammu: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 15.28 grams of Heroin from two suspects while naka duty at the Bhour Camp Chatha area in the jurisdiction of PS Satwari.
Agile police team of PP Chatha led by SHO PS Satwari Inspr Sameer Jeelani assisted by I/C PP Chatha SI Ranjit Singh Chib while on naka duty rounded up two suspects on a vehicle bearing Registration No. JKO2CM 6248 who appeared suspicious on seeing police party. On search 15.8 grams of heroin was recovered from them. The suspects were later identified as:
Sachin Kumar S/O Somraj
R/O Digiana Ashram and
Rishav Sharma S/O Arvind Sharma R/O Lower Gadigarh
In this regard a case FIR No. 135/2022 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act registered in PS Satwari and accused got arrested.
The whole operation was done under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
