13 Govt teachers found absent from duties in Gurez valley, ‘Tehsildar Gurez pitches for their suspension’

Bandipora: Thirteen government teachers were found absent from their legitimate duties in the snowbound Gurez valley of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday.

As per News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), on the directions of SDM, Tehsildar Gurez made a surprise visit to Boys School Markoot, Boys Middle School Mastan, Girls Middle School Wanapora, and Boys Middle School Badwan of Gurez Valley. During the inspection Tehsildar found at least thirteen teachers unauthorizedly absent from their duties.

Among the absent teachers include Muzafar Ahmad Mir, Hajira Begum, Rubeena Begum, Gul Afroza Begum, Aabida Rahim, Rasheeda Begum, Tariq Parvaiz Lone, Aijaz-Ur-Rehman Lone, Mehbooba Hussain Chacket, Mohd Khalil Pintoo, Muzzafar Ahmad Shah, Mir Mustafa and Saleem Ahmad Samoon.

Meanwhile, Tehsildar Gurez in a communiqué to CEO Bandipora has pitched for the suspension of aforesaid absent teachers. He has also requested the ZEO Gurez to withhold the salaries of these erring officials.

Chief Education Officer (CEO), Bandipora, Javid Iqbal told news agency KDC that he has received the communiqué from Tehsildar Gurez via Whatsapp, adding that as of now no action has been initiated against the absentees.

Iqbal said that he was busy all day with some recruitment board meeting in Srinagar. He assured that necessary action will be taken against absent employee’s tomorrow. (KDC)
