Budgam, April 09 : Shri Hariprasad K K, IPS, upon assuming charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Budgam, today chaired an introductory meeting with all field police officers of the district at the Conference Hall of District Police Office (DPO) Budgam.

During the meeting, SSP Budgam emphasized the importance of performing duties with dedication, diligence, and enthusiasm to effectively address emerging challenges. He urged officers to remain committed and contribute meaningfully towards resolving issues faced by the community.

 

SSP Budgam, while highlighting key priorities, emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and strengthening police-public relations. He stressed the need to ensure the safety and security of minorities and other vulnerable sections of society. The SSP also underscored the significance of prompt and effective investigation, with timely disposal of cases in accordance with the prescribed timelines under the new criminal laws. Special focus was laid on tackling terrorism, drug-related offences and crimes against women.

 

The meeting also focused on reviewing security preparedness, including coordination of deployments and adherence to established protocols, especially to ensure the safety of the general public, non-local labors especially working in brick kilns and tourists visiting various tourist destinations across the district.

 

SSP Budgam directed officers to intensify efforts to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and to work proactively in preventing social crimes, cybercrime, and other societal evils. He further instructed all officers to adopt a public-centric approach, remain approachable, and ensure timely redressal of public grievances.
