Zubair Masoodi greets people on Eid-ul-Adha

Srinagar, July 20: President International Human Rights Council, J&K, Zubair Masoodi Tuesday greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

Masoodi, in his Eid greetings message said that people must adhere to COVID19 safety guidelines while celebrating Eid.

He has further urged upon the youth to participate in a big way to eradicate the social evils, poverty, and illiteracy.

Masoodi added that Eid-ul-Adha brings the message of sacrifice, love and communal harmony.

He also cited instances of social, gender discrimination and atrocities against women, corruption, and casteism as some of the challenges.

“In an effort to eradicate social evils from the society, we all have to make collective effort and to work in the direction of prosperity,” Masoodi said.

He asserted that creating economic avenues for rural artisans, farmers, women, and the youth by providing education and empowering them to use technology were essential steps to strengthen the village economy.

Meanwhile, a team from South Asia Peace Movement Tuesday presented Real Hero Award to Masoodi. Masoodi was scheduled to receive the award during a function at SKICC this year. But he could not attend the function due to unavoidable engagements.
