Zaffar Akber condemns killing of Shujat Bukhari, Demands International Probe, Stringent punishment for dastardly forces

Zaffar participated in funeral, expressed sympathies and solidarity with family members

Srinagar, Jun 15: Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM ) chairman Zaffar Akber Bhat on Friday expresses deep shock and outrage at the brazen murder of renowned, veteran senior journalist writer and editor-in-chief of Rising Kashmir,Syed Shujaat Bukhari.

While strongly condemning the cowardice, brutal killing of Sujahat Bukhari, He demands that dastardly forces responsible for his killing should be brought to book by the Authorities at the earliest.

Zaffar said that Sujhaat Bukhari was a true son of soil.

Besides being a commendable journalist, writer, thinker and an intellectual he was a courageous person who till his last breath worked for the betterment of society and human rights of the people of Jammu Kashmir and has contributed tremendous towards Kashmir cause, while Demands International Probe Into Shujaat Bukhari’s Killing He said “In past several Journalist’s assassinated, killed but Till now no enquiry has been initiated against culprits nor anyone involved in these inhuman crimes and Murders brought to book,” He said.

Zaffar Akber has demanded an international probe into the killing of senior journalists like Shujaat Bukhari ,

Jaleel Andrabi, Mushtaq Ali, Pervaiz Sultan, Mohammad Shaban and other’s 

He said” that Bukhari would always highlight the human rights violations in Kashmir at the international forums, Diaspora and at national forum’s ,

Zaffar while Demanding an impartial probe,proceedings by an international agency, said that the perpetrators, criminals, Murders behind this cowardly & brutal killing should be brought to book and Demands Stringent punishment for these dastardly forces ,

Meanwhile, Zaffar Akber Bhat led a party delegation participated in funeral of Sujhaat Bukhari and later visited slain Journalist’s

residence and expressed his heartfelt condolences with family members of Sujhaat Bukhari , While expressing sympathies and solidarity with Breaved family He also prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and forbearance to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
