Youth’s role vital in peace building: Tariq Bhat
Chairman South Asia Peace Movement Tariq Ahmad Bhat his speech urged youth to be the ambassadors of peace, national integrity and brotherhood.
He said youth can play a very important role in peace building.
Referring to some achievements of youth present in the event, Bhat said he is overwhelmed to see such young achievers who are continuing in society in one or the other way and putting their efforts to make their parents and society proud.
Bhat asserted that their contribution in sports, education, music, film making, social activities or entrepreneurship will go a long way in not only adding to economy of nation but also generating employment.
South Asia Peace Movement organisers said it would continue with their programmes that include women’s empowerment in rural/urban areas, Education for all and skill development, Medical facilities, anti-drug campaigns, Environmental safety Sports/athletics and Cultural activities to involve youth in constructive activities.
