Youth congress president Yasir Mandoo Criticizes National Conference Government for Unfulfilled Promises
Srinagar, February 6, 2025: Yasir Mandoo, Youth Congress president Srinagar, strongly criticized the National Conference (JKNC) government for failing to fulfill the promises made during the election campaign. Mandoo called on the National Conference leadership to remind itself of the commitments it made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and urged the government to take immediate action to deliver on those promises.
Yasir Mandoo said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the youth, were promised a better future, but what they have received in return is nothing but disappointment. Despite the assurance of free electricity units, families are still burdened with high electricity bills. The promise of free ration has turned out to be a farce, with many still struggling to access basic supplies. And most concerning of all, the youth have not seen the job opportunities they were promised, leaving them disillusioned and without hope.”
Yasir Mandoo further said, “The National Conference made key promises during the election campaign, including providing quality education for all, offering Rs. 5000 per month to female heads of EWS households, and supplying 12 free gas cylinders annually to ease the financial burdens of families. These promises were made to win the trust and support of the people, but today, the reality is far from what was promised.
The people of Jammu and Kashmir placed their trust on the National Conference (JKNC) during the elections, believing in the promises of a better future. Yet, as the promises remain unfulfilled, it is clear that the government has failed to deliver on its commitments.
