Windstorm Wreaks Havoc in Srinagar: Roofs Blown Off, Dozens of Vehicles Crushed in Burzullah

A powerful windstorm swept through Srinagar , causing widespread damage across several areas. Many rooftops were blown off, and dozens of vehicles were crushed, particularly in the Burzullah locality.

Residents described terrifying scenes as strong gusts uprooted trees, snapped power lines, and sent debris flying. In Burzullah, the worst-hit area, over 30 cars were damaged after falling trees and debris crashed onto parked vehicles.

“It all happened so fast. The wind tore the roof off our house and shattered the windows,” said Bilal Ahmad, a local resident.
