Three days workshop on ‘Mobile Film Making’ inaugurated at CUJ

SAMBA: The Mass Communication and New Media (MCNM) Department of the Central University of Jammu (CUJ) today inaugurated the three days workshop on, “Mobile Film Making,” here at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium situated in the University Campus.
The students of the MCNM Department, Abhilasha Sharma and Gurdeep Kour invited the guests to sit in presidium, Registrar CUJ Dr Yashwant Singh, Dean School of Knowledge Management and Media Studies Prof Devanand, Head of Department (HOD) MCNM, Prof Baccha Babu and the keynote speaker for the workshop – Ritesh Taksande from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune, a well know Filmmaker, Educator, Editor, Director, Program Director.
The HOD of the MCNM Department, delivered the welcome note, Dean School of Knowledge Management and Media Studies Prof Devanand articulated the presidential remarks and also presented the momentos to resource person. Following the momento presenting ceremony the guest faculty took the stage.
In his lecture the keynote speaker, Taksande briefed about the Process of Film Making wherein he speak about the strategy and development for the process of film making, pre-production, production, post-production and the delivery. Then he speak about the basic structure of 3s (Story, Stability and Sound) in the films.
The speaker has also shown how to get hands on different gadgets required for film making to the participants.
After the lunch break, the second session anchors Simran and Shilpa to further engage the participants in the workshop a quiz was organised on the film making and dialogue delivery. The second session concluded with the vote of thanks by the anchors. The workshop will be continued from tomorrow morning 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
