Unsung Hero Who Rescued 20 Kashmiri Families In Jammu

Srinagar: Former IG traffic, Basant Kumar Rath again hit hedalines this time for winning hearts of Kashmiri people whom he rescued at a time when they are attacked everywhere particularly in Jammu.

Sources said Rath without giving damn to what happens around drove 20 odd Kashmiri families to safer places amid curfew in Jammu zone in view of violence post Pulwama attack.

Braving all odds, Rath rescued twenty Kashmiri families and safely drove them to safer places in Jammu.

It is worth mentioning that Kashmiri people have been witnessing attacks by frenzied mobs in Jammu city and other parts of India ever since 49 soldiers lost their lives in a highway attack in southern Pulwama past week.
