Unknown gunmen attack civilian’s vehicle

No injury to any one reported in incident: Police

Srinagar, Jun 18: Unknown gunmen fired at the vehicle of a civilian in Hassanpora, Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, however, no damage was reported in the incident, police said Friday.

Witnesses told the news agency Kashmir News Observer that suspected militants fired upon i20 car of a civilian identified as Bilal Ahmad alias Bilal Badam who is said to be a contractor by profession in Hassanpora Bijbehara.

He said his minor son who was in the vehicle at the time of attack has received minor bruises. The injured boy has been identified as Maroof and is stable.

A police official told KNO a firing incident was reported at Arwaniarea of Bijbehara. “Police are verifying the veracity of the incident. No injury has been reported to any one in the incident,” the official said.

The official added that nobody has sustained bullet injury during the attack while the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers. (KNO)
