Unauthorized Street Light Installation Halted in Lokbawan Larkipora

In a swift response to a phone call from the District Control Room, the Executive Magistrate of Larkipora intervened to stop the illegal installation of street lights in Lokbawan Larkipora, which violated the Model Code of Conduct. Upon arriving at the scene, the magistrate confiscated at least seven lights. A total of 27 lights had been installed, with 18 falling under the jurisdiction of the Larkipora Executive Magistrate and the remaining 9 within the NT Dialgam area.

The lights were installed by Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh from Bogam District, Kulgam. The confiscated lights are now in the custody of Lambardar Lokbawan, Ab Majeed Dar. Authorities are continuing their operation to seize the remaining lights, with further updates expected in the evening.
