Two Non-Local Labourers Injured In Anantnag Militant Attack
SRINAGAR — Two non-local labourers were injured in a militant attack at Bondialgam area of Anantnag district in South Kashmir, officials said on Thursday.
Police said that two non-local labourers, one from Bihar and another from Nepal who were working at SAPS School in Bondialgam area of the district were injured after militants fired upon them.
They said that the duo was taken to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police has cordoned off entire area to nab the attackers.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “#militant fired upon two outside labourers (01 from Bihar & second from Nepal), who were working at a private SAPS school at #Bondialgam in #Anantnag district. Both of them are being shifted to hospital. Further details shall follow.”
Meanwhile, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar termed attack on non-locals in Anantnag as cowardice and inhumane act of terrorism.
Kumar said that the victims were called by militants to come out to engage in a work. Once both came out, militant fired upon them with pistol.
We are investigating on top priority. Culprit would be brought to justice soon, he said. — (KIMS)
