Two militants slain in Shopian gunfight
Shopian: Two militants were killed in an overnight gunfight between government forces and militants at Melhoora village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday morning.
The affiliation and identification of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
Earlier, government forces including J&K Police and Army’s 55 RR had launched cordon and search operation in Melhoora village on Monday evening following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Shopian district as a precautionary measure.
