Two militants including non-local slain in Kulgam gunfight

Kulgam: Two militants were killed in a gunfight between government forces and militants at Chinigam Kala Drang village in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday morning.

The slain militants have been identified as Tariq from Zangalpora Kulgam and another as non-local.

Earlier, government forces including Army’s 1 RR and J&K Police had launched cordon and search operation in the village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.

One M4 Rifle and One Pistol has been recovered from the encounter site.

Meanwhile, authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Kulgam district as a precautionary measure.
