Two Militant Associates Arrested In Shopian: Police
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Two militant associates were arrested along with incriminating material in Shopian district of South Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Saturday.
Police said that they were arrested by joint team of security forces including J&K Police, Indian Army, and CRPF during a Naka established at Malik Chak Crossing area of the district and incriminating materials were recovered from their possession.
They said that the duo has been identified as Suhaib Iqbal Malik, son of Mohd Iqbal Malik, and Tufail Yousuf Malik, son of Mohd Yousuf Malik — both residents of Baba Mohalla Shopian.
In this regard, a Case FIR No. 14/2024 under section 13 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) has been registered at Police Station Heerpora and the investigation has been initiated. — (KIMS)
