Two Jaish militants slain in Anantnag gunfight
Anantnag: Two Jaish-e-Mohammad militants were killed in an encounter between government forces and militants at Katto, Wopzan area of Bijbehara town in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.
The slain militants have been identified as Fayaz Panzoo resident of Panzoo Tral and Shaan Showkat resident of Aswara Kanalwan area of Bijbehara.
Earlier, government forces had launched cordon and search operation in the village following the inputs about presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Anantnag district as a precautionary measure.
