Two cops killed in Nowgam attack; Jaish carried attack, says IGP
Srinagar: Two cops were killed and another was injured in a militant attack in Nowgam area of Srinagar on Friday morning.
Sources said militants attacked police party at Nowgam area of Srinagar leaving three cops seriously injured.
The trio were taken to nearby hospital for treatment among them two succumbed to their injuries.
The slain cops have been identified as Ishfaq Ayoub and Fayaz Ahmad and the injured cop has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf.
Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said Jaish-e-Mohammed militant outfit carried out the attack. The militants have been identified and they will be neutralized soon.
