Two arrested for murdering woman in Rajouri

Rajouri: Two persons including a woman’s husband were arrested on Sunday for murdering a woman in Rajouri district in Jammu division.

The deceased woman has been identified as Shanaz Akhter, wife of Zulifkar Ali, a resident of Morha village in Rajouri district

According to KNO report, the victim was stabbed with a knife at her house on Sunday morning, resulting in her death. Police has taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case at Kandi Police Station in this regard.

An official said that “So far, two persons have been detained who include victim’s husband Zulifkar Ali and one of his friend who was also working with him as a cleaner of Tata Mobile vehicle.”

“The investigation into the matter is going on,” he added.
