Trying To Remove Militancy That Is Hitting The Brains In Kashmir, Says Governor Malik
Srinagar: I think militancy is not in guns but in brains. We’re trying to remove the militancy that is hitting the brains,” Governor Satya Pal Malik said on Thursday.
Adding that he wished that the youth shun the path of militancy.
He said that killing militants is no solution and wouldn’t end the “real problem”.
He also said that killing of militants wouldn’t end the real problem and that every killing in Kashmir even that of militants disappoints him
“Police are doing their job commendably. But trust me, every single killing in Kashmir even that of militants pains me,” Malik was quoted as saying by Greater Kashmir.
According to Gk Malik made these remarks when he was asked about killings of three LeT militants in Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Malik, however, complimented the forces for what he said working tirelessly to protect their land.
“The achievements of security forces are always worth praise. I don’t need media platforms to compliment them. I am doing my best to provide them all the facilities they deserve because when we sleep at 3 am, they conduct operations in snow outside. The day I joined J&K, I started working for the welfare of forces and I’ll keep working for them,” he added.
