Tral gunfight: Firing stops, house goes up in flames
An eye witness said that the house in which the militants were trapped was set on fire by the forces, following which the firing stopped.
The exchange of fire between the trapped militants and the government forces has stopped after a gap of several hours in Aripal village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An eye witness said that the house in which the militants were trapped was set on fire by the forces, following which the firing stopped.
The gunfight broke out today morning after the forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation in the area after a tip-off about the presence of two to three militants in a residential house.
As the forces approached the suspected house, the militants hiding there opened fire, triggering a gunfight.
Soon after the gunfight clashes erupted at several places in Tral.
