Training for DDC Elections 2020 imparted to presiding & Polling Officers in Shopian

Shopian: For District development Council elections (DDC) Scheduled for fourth Phase and commencing on 7th December 2020, the District Administration Shopian organized a special training programme for the polling staff and presiding officers.

The district level master trainers imparted training to the polling staff and presiding officers under the supervision of District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian Choudhary Mohammad Yasin and Nodal Officer for training Dr Mohammad Amin.

This training was specifically focused on polling officers and presiding officers. During the training the master trainers acquainted the polling staff with the rules and regulations of the election process.

A practical demonstration was done to explain the operational methods of secret ballot boxes and the paperwork was also explained for better understanding.

Presiding and polling officers expressed their pleasure that they were all fully satisfied with the training sessions as it is a good step towards conducting smooth elections in the district.

DEO emphasized upon the polling officers and presiding officers that while performing their duties they should strictly adhere to COVID-19 SOPs and also ensure use of masks, sanitizers and uniform in letter and spirit.
