Tourism Flourishing in Kashmir, Efforts Underway for More Attractions: Minister Javed Dar

Srinagar, Mar 26  : Minister Javed Dar expressed optimism about this year’s tourist footfall surpassing previous records, emphasizing the government’s commitment to developing more tourist attractions in Kashmir.
 
Speaking to the media, Dar stated that while there are currently no plans to develop another tulip garden, efforts are being made to establish well-maintained parks with tulips to enhance the valley’s tourism appeal.
 
“The tourism industry is flourishing, and people associated with it are happy. We are continuously working towards improving tourism infrastructure to attract more visitors,” he said.
 
Responding to a query regarding the use of agricultural land for commercial purposes, the minister assured that existing laws are being strictly followed. “The law is already in place, and we are making every effort to prevent the misuse of agricultural land,” he added.
 
Commenting on the overall situation in Kashmir, Dar noted that significant improvements have been observed. “The situation in Kashmir has improved, and we hope this positive trend will continue,” he remarked.(KNS)
