Top LeT commander killed in Baramulla encounter, says IGP Kashmir

Srinagar: A Top commander of Lashkar Toiba militant outfit was on Saturday killed in an encounter with government forces in Saloosa area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The slain militant has been identified as Anees Alias Chota Sultan from Pakistan. 1 AK-47 and 5 magazine were recovered from his possession.

He was active since 2018 and was operating in Sopore, Zangeer and Bandipora areas in Northern Kashmir.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar told “top commander of LeT was killed in an encounter at Saloosa.”
